This summer had the best weather that Mr. Mate and I have experienced in our 9+ years living in the Puget Sound. I felt lucky that I had really stellar weather at nearly all of the outdoor summer events. My show and production schedule was crazy and overwhelming at times so having good weather made things a lot more pleasant. Happily for me, I also had help and company in Mr. Mate and/or Trilby from Oliotto. I don’t think I could have pulled off anything quite as successfully without their help and encouragement.
We tried out a number of new shows this year including the Fremont Fair, Coupeville Arts Festival, Bumbershoot, and Waterfront Arts, while also including some of our favorite past events like the Alki Art Fair, West Seattle Summerfest, and the Fremont Sunday Market.
We also did the Seattle Gift Show and are excited to share that we’ve picked up new stores around the Northwest including Ecru in Portland, Oregon; Casita International and The Art Study here in Seattle, and Paisley Pomegranate in Park City, Utah.
I’m sad to say goodbye to the summer–especially since I didn’t get a chance to put on a bathing suit– but fall is lovely here in Seattle and a great time to catch my breath between market seasons.
