One of my favorite parts about making cards is the collaboration that presents itself between the cards and the people who send them into the world.
Last week a client emailed about getting a baker’s dozen of my “Washington: We’ve got nice apples” cards. When we met up to exchange the cards, she related how each year she sends out a locally made gift and this year, the chosen item was Fran’s caramel sauce, Washington-grown apples, and our “Nice Apples” card. Totally great combination and such a fun gift for her out-of-state friends and family. Not only was I honored to be included in the grouping, but so excited about the synergy that comes between people, locally made items, and thoughtful inspiration.
Thank you to everyone who has included Orange Twist cards in their life this year. In an age where anything can be digitally personalized, I appreciate and am grateful for the time our clients take to personalize their cards by hand and send them into the world.
