Edging out of January
Can you believe there are only four more days left in this first month of the first year of the new decade? What have you been doing?
I’ve been hanging out with my fat cat for one. Trying to get back into the swing of things for another. Mr. Mate and I drove to Cali for Christmas and spent 12 days with family and friends. Let’s just say upon return I’ve found myself to be sluggish. Unmotivated. In need of sunshine.
Before our vacation I’d diligently printed Valentine cards, mailing envelopes, shipping boxes, and generally stocked the studio so that January wouldn’t find me scrambling. I can’t say I’ve scrambled much–even as steady sales have surprised and pleased me.
Perhaps beginning this blog is a sign that I’m finally ready to focus on the year ahead–and dust off my writing skills. I’ve promised myself I’ll write down my hopes and goals for 2011 before January closes. I hope you’ll join me this year as I forge ahead with the ins and outs of growing Orange Twist.
